The Avista Nine Mile Unit 4 project involved rehabilitation of multiple components. The turbine shaft and miscellaneous shaft components were inspected for damage and machined to fit new runners. Some of the shafts required new stainless steel bearing seals to be manufactured and installed on the shafts. New customer supplied Francis Runners were mounted to the refurbished main shafts by Wagstaff AT. Distributors were inspected and flanges machined flat. All equipment was then sandblasted, painted and delivered to the site for customer installation.
